On April 18, 935 Chervon employees, family members, and partners completed the Chervon Charity Run at Baijia Lake in Nanjing, raising over RMB 200,000 for the “Seeds of Hope” education program. One week later, ten Chervon volunteers traveled to Funing to take part in the 15th “Seeds of Hope” initiative. Since 2016, Chervon has organized the Charity Run for 11 consecutive years to raise funds for the program and has sent more than 100 volunteers to northern Jiangsu for on-site educational support.

From April 24 to 26, the ten volunteers – including two veteran participants and eight first-timers – together with volunteers from the Tzu Chi Charitable Foundation, visited the homes of students in need and assisted in holding a coming-of-age ceremony for senior high school students. During the home visits, the volunteers set aside any sense of charity from above, focusing instead on “equal attention and sincere listening.” In one family where the father had passed away, a Tzu Chi volunteer guided the child to kneel and serve tea to the mother, allowing parental love to be expressed through this ritual. Stephanie, a veteran volunteer, said she had grown more perceptive and was “better able to feel the small joys of giving.” Ella, a first-time volunteer, came to see what “Seeds of Hope” truly means – planting hope in the heart.

Running is never the finish line. From Nanjing to Funing, from running footsteps to the guardianship of “Seeds of Hope,” Chervon has turned the Chervon Charity Run into a lasting chain of kindness through persistence. The volunteer team this year consisted of “two veterans and eight newcomers,” with the experienced guiding the new and the new learning humbly. The Chervon group also earned the nickname “documentation experts” for the high quality and efficiency of their visit records.
